Need an online home for your creative practice? This friendly, in-person workshop is designed to help artists, makers, and creative small businesses build a website that showcases their work and supports their marketing goals.
With Rocketspark’s easy-to-use platform, you’ll learn how to bring your brand to life online – from layout and imagery to content that communicates clearly.

This is a hands-on, small-group workshop limited to just five participants, so you’ll have plenty of one-on-one support as you build your own website. You’ll need a basic level of computer confidence, but no web design experience is required. Please bring your own laptop and charger.
In just 3.5 hours, you will:
- Plan your site with purpose
- Start building your website or landing page from scratch
- Add your logo, brand colours, and imagery
- Draft and refine content using AI tools
- Learn what makes websites engaging and effective
- Launch your site or leave with a strong, near-complete draft
You’ll also receive:
- A pre-workshop planning workbook to help clarify your ideas
- Personal support during the session
- An online follow-up session
- The option to book 1:1 time with Kath if you’d like extra support
About the Presenter
Kath Boyd is a web designer with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for making the tech stuff feel easy. She’s been building professional websites since 2016 and specialises in helping small business owners create user-friendly, high-impact sites using the Rocketspark platform. With a background in marketing strategy, strong client relationships, and a talent for simplifying the process, Kath’s workshops are hands-on, welcoming, and designed to get you confidently online – fast.
Hosting and Domain Costs
Please note that there are ongoing costs for launching your site, which are paid directly to Rocketspark via debit or credit card. These only apply once you’re ready to publish your website.
- Domain name: $21.25 for the first year (if you don’t already have one)
- One-page website with blog: $25/month or $275/year
- Full website (multi-page): from $49/month or $499/year
→ Includes 30% off the first two months if you launch within 30 days of the workshop - Prices are in NZD and exclude GST.
You won’t need to pay these costs during the workshop – the focus is on building your site. When you’re ready to go live, you’ll need to register a domain (if you don’t already have one) and select a hosting plan.
Kath will guide you through what’s involved and can help with this process when you’re ready. If you choose to go live some time after the workshop, additional support may be available at her standard rate.
