Professional Development Workshops | 2nd & 16th November
Ngā Toi Hawkes Bay is excited to announce two upcoming workshops for people in the creative arts industry in Hawkes Bay. Through these workshops, we aim to encourage growth within our region’s cultural sector by supporting local creatives and organisers to expand their creative enterprises. With thanks to Creative Waikato, we are offering the following day workshops at Hastings City Art Gallery:
Project Planning for Arts Activities
Saturday 2 November, 9am – 3pm, $30
Become a master of good planning and run amazing projects. This hands-on workshop will help you save time and money while avoiding problems and stress. You’ll learn how to:
• Create a clear vision
• Make a timeline
• Create a simple and effective budget
• Work with a team and manage volunteers
• Understand health and safety
• Plan for success
Saturday 16 November, 9am – 3pm, $30
Great promotion starts with a plan. This hands-on workshop will show you how to effectively promote your creative work. You’ll learn how to:
• Create a promotional plan
• Set goals for your promotion
• Identify your target market (the people you want to reach)
• Work out your key messages (how you will communicate)
• Understand media including posters, fliers, newspapers, websites, radio, databases and social media
